"This is a Massacre, Not a War in Iraq
By Sam Hamod

This is a massacre, not a war in Iraq. The U.S. bombing Samarra, Fallujah, Baghdad and other cities, killing hundreds of civilians and calling them terrorists is like the massacres of the Native Americans during America's push westward.

In this case, it has to do with America's push eastward.

What is also troubling is that no major media outlet, no major politician--none are callig this what it is, an immoral, unmitigated killing of hundreds of Iraqi civilians every week.

Those who are experts in Arabic have claimed for months that the man alleged to be Zarqawi is not really Zarqawi because he does not have the real Zarqawi's Jordanian accent. But, the American military, we are positive by now, has created this mythical Zarqawi to allow it to mercilessly attack Fallujah and punish its inhabitants because they withstood the American ground attack and chased the Americans out. Even today, the Fallujhans have said aloud to Al Jazeera and other outlets, that they will come out into the streets and fight the Americans--but our country, America, is immoral and cowardly, every day attacking Fallujah by F16, Apache and long range cannon fire. In the process, killing hundreds of civilians, but as in the Viet Nam war, saying, "It's just collateral damage and we are not responsible for that."

My question then, is who is responsible for the killings.
I point my finger at General Abizaid, a man who should know better. I also point the finger of guilt at his subordinate commanders in Iraq and all the way up to the two devils at the top of the pole, George W. Bush and Donald Rumsfeld. By now, it is obvious why Bush and his cronies do not want to support the International Criminal Court and are even attacking the court at the Hague--because they know that they are breaking international laws and that they would be pulled up, kicking and screaming ala Milosovich, to that court for their war crimes and crimes against humanity in Iraq.

It is time for Americans to speak up to stop this massacre.
We are killing Iraqis in the name of "Freedom" and "Democracy!"
How absurd, must we kill the Iraqis to "save them". This sounds almost like the old Salem Witch Trials, where they put people to death in order to save them. But it also smells of the aforementioned slaughter of the Native Americans by the jolly good American cavalry--ironically, it's the same cavalry that is repeating its deeds 200 years later, but this time against Iraqis. For shame.

Also, shame on our media outlets, our church leaders, those phony Christians, Billy Graham, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson--men who shall certainly be condemned to hell by God on the day of judgement. Some may say, I have no right to say such a thing, but all you have to do is see how they are supporting these atrocities--especially Billy Graham and his son, both men who had built reputations for decency but have now destroyed them with this endorsement of slaughter in Iraq.

As for Falwell and Robertson, they not only endorse the Iraq slaughter, they also are doing all they can to praise Sharon and Israel for their slaughter, on a daily basis for the past 3 years of Palestinians. They also cheer when Palestinian homes are bulldozed, as in the 200 taken down in the past month.

In the process, some at the UN have spoken out, even Kofi Annan, but people in America are not hearing. Instead, America is trying to distract the public with stories about Darfur, about the non-existant Zarqawi, about "staying the course" (as if there is a course and as if it is justified), and few are asking, "Just why are we in Iraq, after all, Saddam is gone?" We hear such nonsense as, "We have to stay to settle things down in Iraq." But President Jimmy Carter and most international experts say that we are the problem and that Iraqis could solve their own problems if we'd leave.
But, as most know, and this has been pointed out by Jane's of London and other experts in the U.S. such as Chalmers Johnson, America intendes to build at least 2 dozen bases or more in Iraq to stay on--never to leave.

I want to say again, as I said in articles since Bush's invasion of Iraq, we shall pay a heavy price for this slaughter of Iraqis who are Arabs and Muslims. This slaughter, this massacre has incensed the entire Muslim world.
America is no longer respected in any part of the Muslim world.
In fact, a recent poll in Egypt, one of our strongest allies in the Arab and Muslim world, showed that over 90% of the Egyptians are now angry at America. But what of the 1.6 billion Muslims in the world, many of them are so incensed that they will become militant against us. Our behavior has taken away any credibility moderates had, now the radicals can say, "See, moderation got you nowhere with America. They even kicked Cat Stevens out of America, a leading moderate in England, a man who had even given advice to the White House on how to deal with radicals."

Samuel Huntington in his book, The Clash of Civilizations, claimed Islam was intent on making a war on the West. This was not true, but what has happened is that Bush and his fundamentalist Christian friends are making war on Islam--it can be seen with American troops attacking Muslims in Iraq, in Afghanistan, in the Phillippines, in Indonesia, in Malaysia."

=============SNIP=====================
Look, there are estimates of a BILLION Muslims in this world.
Bush and the Pie Faced Goo Head Koolaid drinkers of Falwell and "Robber's Son"....aka "Pat" want to have a Christian jihad against a BILLION?

Do it without me assholes!

Gay News From 365Gay.com

"(Lynchburg, Virginia) Evangelical Christian ministers crowded into the Rev. Jerry Falwell's new law school for a pep talk on how to preach conservative politics without running afoul of the law.

Bristling with frustration, several raised their hands when asked if they had received letters from Americans United for Separation of Church and State warning that giving biased information about political candidates could jeopardize their tax-exempt status as nonprofit organizations.

"The Constitution doesn't say anything about the separation of church and state, so how can the government deny us our right to practice our freedom of expression?" asked Don Cherry, senior pastor of a nondenominational church in Hedgesville, W.Va.

Jerry Falwell Jr., Falwell's son and a lawyer for the ministry, said that despite the letters, churches were actually allowed to hand out candidate biographies and voter-registration packets.

What they should not do, he said, was endorse a candidate in church. The tax code forbids it, though he hopes the Supreme Court will eventually change the law.

"That's why this election is so important," he said. "Three or four justices are going to be appointed in the next four years."

Another ministry lawyer, Mathew Staver, who is involved in law suits across the country opposing same-sex marriage, said churches could also legally spend 5 percent of their time lobbying for or against various legislation. That is a lot of time, he said, considering the number of hours pastors and staff spend each year just keeping the church going.

"If you wanted to, you could essentially turn the church into a political machine on Sunday," said Staver who is the president and general counsel of the Liberty Counsel."

CNN.com - Mark Shields: Bush campaign's contempt for 'people of faith' - Oct 4, 2004

The Pie Faced Goo Head Falwell tries to say God wants you to vote for Bush. What kind of dumbass even makes such a statement? To me, that's a sin against God...kind of like making fun of the Holy Ghost...

"In early 1993, Washington Post reporter Michael Weisskopf wrote a front-page story that characterized the followers of conservative church leaders Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson as being " largely poor, uneducated and easy to command." Both Weisskopf and the Post were rightly criticized for publishing that unfair, offensive smear, especially by conservatives who introduced the Post quote as Exhibit A to prove that the liberal, secular press was full of elitists who mocked church-goers.

Now in the campaign of 2004 we have an even more dramatic example revealing the utter contempt and disdain in which powerful Washington leaders privately hold those voters these same leaders publicly praise as "people of faith." But this time, the offending individuals and institution are the not liberal press or the elite media. No they are President George W. Bush, his closest political advisor Karl Rove and the Republican National Committee, which the Bush White House totally controls.

Bush's own RNC did a mass-mailing to churchgoing voters in Arkansas and West Virginia warning that if churchgoers did not vote Republican in November, the godless "liberals" (read: Democrats) would ban the Bible from American life.

Forget that this smear is as vicious as it is dishonest, and that no U.S. politician has even mentioned the idea of banning the Bible. What ought to anger fair-minded Americans everywhere is that the Bush-Rove team must be convinced that the churchgoing folks of West Virginia and Arkansas are so gullible and so ill-informed that this baseless charge could scare them into voting Republican for Bush-Cheney in order to keep their Bibles."

Follow-up Thoughts on the Cheney-Edwards Dust Up

Lemme say this...I think the Real Slim Cheney is an evil and despicable man.

It has NOTHING to do with his politics....on a personal level, I think he is worst than smegma!

That being said, I watched the whole debate, and , between him and Edwards, hate to say but during most of the debate, he kind of kicked ass. I say "kind of " kicked ass...because he came off too aggressive and too "ad hominem".

He and Bush are singing from the same hymnal and that songbook says...look Kerry and Edwards straight in the eye, use straight talk, talk tough, be on the attack...in essence, treat Kerry and Edwards as if they were Al Qaeda.

Cheney is a liar in my opinion. Cheney is a corrupt businessman who has ripped off our country for millions, in my opinion. And, like so many con men, he is able to lie with a straight faced and lead you along into his fantasy. Professional con men are great at this.

Edwards kept repeating himself in a few mantras, and doing so, so closely, I thought they were replaying a tape of what he just said. It was not effective...not to me at least.

And, I WANTED EDWARDS TO KICK ASS AND TAKE NAMES!

A trial lawyer should know how to argue facts and impeach the other side using previous inconsistent statements, and with Cheney, there were plenty of previous inconsistent statements. I must give Edwards a "C"
and Cheney, asshole that he is, a "B".

That being said, please vote for Kerry/Edwards.

Can you imagine this bald asshole running the country if Bush chokes on another pretzel?

Capitol Hill Blue: Lawsuit challenges censorship of Iraq war dead photos

Challenging the news supression policies of the Bush administration, a journalism professor and former newsman sued the government Monday to force the Defense Department to release pictures of flag-draped coffins of soldiers arriving in the United States from wars overseas.
Ralph Begleiter, a professor at the University of Delaware and a former world affairs correspondent for CNN, filed suit under the Freedom of Information Act for the release of government photos and video of coffins arriving at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.

The Pentagon has refused to release those photos, saying it has begun enforcing a policy installed in 1991 intended to respect the privacy of the families of the dead soldiers.

Critics counter the government is trying to hide the human cost of the war from the public.

"They're public records," Begleiter's attorney, Daniel Mach, said in a telephone interview. "This is about the public's right to know the implications of U.S. foreign policy and to assess the price of war."

Begleiter's lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, lists the Defense Department and the Air Force as defendants. A Pentagon spokeswoman declined comment on the lawsuit."

Hmmmmmmmm.....do tell!

The Real Slim Cheney vs. Edwards Debate...the real skinny on it

It's a classic matchup. It's the kind of thing that epic battles are constructed around. The main theme in drama from time immemorial is the fight between good and evil, between the tyranny of an unjust government and the valiant hero trying to fight against a sea of injustice.

Tonight is such an event, and I have seen far more interest in the Real Slim Cheney v. Edwards debate, than I saw for the Bushy- Kerry dust up.

You have hair (Edwards) v. no hair (Cheney). You have the cockeyed optimist (Edwards) against the slimy pessimistic curmudgeon (Real Slim Cheney...hereafer called RSC). You have the champion of the poor underdog, the Everyman, against the moneygrubbing lapdog of the upper class rich.

You have the "businessman" against the professional.

Hell, this is what world class Wrestling bouts are about. Cheney is the clear villain. His smarling grimace of a face looks like Bob Hope after a few shots of Old Turkey on a bad day. Edwards is perpetually smiling. He's like Huck Finn all "growed up and educated".

Cheney has the same theme of his lesser half, the "Re-elect Sheriff Bush and will chase the "tare-ists" down so they won't hurt ya "agin" (again). This message is so stupid that even the guys from the movie Dumb and Dumber would jump down off the movie poster and declare that message is intended for children in special education programs. Why are the President and Vice (and I do MEAN VICE) President treating the public as if their combined IQ amounted to Cheney's hat size? Because they have a very, very , very LOW opinion of the American public.

They believe you can say, or do, just about anything to the American people, as long as you convince them you are their big SugarDaddy, protecting them from the evil, heathen boogey man. And, some people, apparently a lot of people, are buying this trough of horse manure!

What kind of real Sheriff, at the first sign of danger, runs away in a multimillion dollar jet surrounded by fighter jets to an undisclosed location, or, what kind of deputy (Cheney) runs away to a secret underground bunker, and says basically, "To hell with American public...let them get bombed as long as my ass is saved."

Of course, Cheney will try to tar and feather Edwards by callng him a "trial lawyer".
I say...thank God for good trial lawyers, especially medical malpractice attorneys.

If you every really need one, you'll get on your knees and be thankful for a good trial attorney. Edwards is like a legal version of Superman, protecting the rights and concerns of the injured, the downtrodden, the poor.

So, here we have Lex Luthor (Cheney) against a young Clark Kent (Edwards)....

Lex Luthor HOPES he has some kryptonite in his gut to bring out at the right time to rob the power from Superman, but, maybe not.

The administration has a poor spokesman in Halliburton Cheney. He is not likeable, he has a ton of baggage, and if skeletons were blades of grass, he has about 100 acres worth.

I mean, just look at this guy's picture...

Isn't he the kind of thing to give kids nightmares for weeks?

I mean...note to Cheney...it may be October, but it ain't Halloween yet dude,
pull off the fright mask!

Anyway, should be a good debate.

On with the two monologues!

Capitol Hill Blue: Rumsfeld can't keep stories straight on Hussein-bin Laden link, Iraq WMDs

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld departed from the Republican party line Monday and admitted he had not "seen any strong evidence" that linked former Iraq dictator Saddam Hussein and terrorist leader Osam bin Laden.

The Art of the flip-flop
AFP/Getty/Spencer Platt
"To my knowledge, I have not seen any strong, hard evidence that links the two," Rumsfeld said in response to a question of a possible link between Hussein and the al-Qaida leader.

Several hours after making the admission in a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, Rumsfeld issued a "clarification" on his statement, saying he was "misunderstood, " saying he has acknowledged since September 2002 that there were ties between Osama bin Laden's terror group and Iraq.

"This assessment was based upon points provided to me by then-CIA Director George Tenet to describe the CIA's understanding of the al-Qaida relationship," he said. This included "solid evidence of the presence in Iraq of al-Qaida members, including some that have been in Baghdad," he said.

The flip-flop was Rumsfeld's second in as many days. On Monday, the defense secretary admitted U.S. intelligence on Iraq's non-existent weapons of mass destruction was faulty even though he told a television interviewer on Sunday that he believed Hussein had such weapons.

"It turns out that we have not found weapons of mass destruction," Rumsfeld said Monday in the speech to the foreign affairs group. "Why the intelligence proved wrong I'm not in a position to say, but the world is a lot better off with Saddam Hussein in jail."

On Sunday in an interview with Fox News, however, Rumsefled said: "I believe they were there, and I'm surprised we have not found them yet. He has either hidden them so well or moved them somewhere else, or decided to destroy them ... in event of a conflict but kept the capability of developing them rapidly."

Note to Rummie...
"There are known knowns and there are known unknowns, that is to say there are things we know we know, and things we know we don't know...
but some things are known knowns, and that is that Rummie is a Dummie and a big FLIP FLOPPER....hell, this administration flip flops so much you would think it's the beach in Coney Island...flip flops and weiners everywhere!

Cheney Measures

VICE PRESIDENT, THE REAL SLIM CHENEY....
Could you show us how much concern, in total, you have for the fact that 45 million are without health care, that over a million have lost their jobs, that outsourcing is taking away even more jobs, that around 1000 of our best and brightest have died needlessly in a foreign land, and that a giant surplus, in just four years, under Bush, was transformed into the country going into the red, into the biggest deficit on record, and that our country is in worse shape dailing...how much do you care about those issues?
